I know you're a modern mom who cares about her family, has a great sense of style and loves to have fun. We already have so much in common. Don't miss a post and be sure to sign up for blog updates!
These days my girls are drooling over Brandy Melville clothes…have you heard of this brand? It’s one of the hottest lines of teen clothing right now, but I think their styles and marketing are contributing to such an unhealthy and unrealistic body image for our daughters.
The Clothing Bar is one of the featured stores in the LOCAL fashion show being held on October 26th, 2017 at Trolley 5 on 17th Ave. SW. I’m thrilled to be the emcee for the show. A portion of the proceeds are being donated to Dress For Success Calgary. Tickets are available exclusively through ShopNet TV.
As the youngest in a family of three girls, I grew up wearing my sisters’ clothes. Whether it was a prom dress, dance costume or a pair of Peter Pan Getaway Boots (can you believe we wore those?), I never questioned my mother when she insisted that I share clothes with my sisters. For that reason, shopping at consignment stores comes very naturally to me.
Athleta is one of my favorite places to buy work out clothes, so you can imagine how excited I was to learn that the store now has a line of active wear for young girls.
Athleta Girl is designed for girls between the ages of 6-14 with the sporty girl in mind, but this stuff is cute enough that it can be worn anywhere!
Forget the cowgirl stereotype, denim these days is hot, hot, hot and you don’t belong anywhere near a ranch or a farm if you’re wearing the cute items I’m about to show you.
I know here in Houston everybody starts looking for denim pieces in February, so they will have something “country” to wear to the Houston Rodeo.
FRINALLY, it’s Friday! The weekend is here and I always like to have some fun on Fridays. Today, I thought I’d show you some of the things I’ve been enjoying lately. I own every single one of these products, so I wanted to share them with you.
My daughter came home the other night from a Sweet 16 party for two of her friends and, from what I can tell, this party was da bomb!
There were food trucks, kayaks, a DJ, lots of dancing, and get this…a craft station where the girls were able to make their own floral crowns. What a cool idea!! Who said 16-year-olds are too old for crafts…especially one that is so trendy these days and filling up Instagram feeds everywhere??
Hey y’all! (I’m going to use that as much as I can these last few months that I’m in Texas)
I love Kendra Scott jewelry – it’s on trend, it can be simple or ornate and I think the price point is decent. It’s not the kind of jewelry that you’d cry for days if you lost, but at the same time, it makes a statement and is really fun to wear. Her use of color in her jewelry is beautiful, in my opinion.
