I know you're a modern mom who cares about her family, has a great sense of style and loves to have fun. We already have so much in common. Don't miss a post and be sure to sign up for blog updates!
Hi, friends! Just a short post today to ask you all for a favor. I’m asking you to take one minute out of your day to sign this electronic petition which calls on Ottawa to invest $10 million dollars into ovarian cancer funding.
When it comes to research dollars for women’s cancers, breast cancer leads the way, while ovarian cancer lags far behind.
It was a gorgeous morning for the Sprint for Life 5 K in the Medical District of downtown Houston on Saturday morning. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect – there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and, at 7:30 am, we were able to avoid the Houston heat and humidity.
Why, oh why, do I stop running? Getting back into shape is SO HARD. You know what I mean?
It happens so quickly…we give ourselves one or two days off because, well, life gets in the way. Before you know it, weeks have gone by and we’ve lost our running mo-jo!
There is an ad campaign that’s garnering a lot of attention these days. And I just want to say “Bravo!” to Ovarian Cancer Canada for coming up with a smart, funny and rather cheeky advertisement to create awareness for an under-recognized disease.
The ad encourages women to have the “Ladyballs” to disagree with a male colleague, to ask a guy out on a date, etc. You get the idea. It states that “women have balls too, and they’re at risk.”
If you haven’t seen the TV version of the ad, you can watch it here.
